Holy fuck, after years of browsing /f/ I finally figured out what the explanation for the "age"
option is supposed to mean. This flash is from before the time when the e-mail field was removed
and you could still see it when people were saging a thread.
So people on /f/ would "age" a thread, as a sort of "anti sage"? That is the gayest thing I have
ever seen. Why not just say "I like this flash".

to cope with and simultaneously seethe at saging

Very helpful, thanks.

Fucking newfag.
Age/sage (from the verbs あげる/さげる) are literally the opposite functions, originally used by
japanese anonymous boards to raise/lower content. Using age on 4chan was never anything more than
showing that you understand the culture, since fucktards like you didn't back in 2003 and still
don't. No matter how many times it's explained to them.

Wow, you even thought of a much more gayer response
Why not bend over while you're at it, newfag

Cry me a river, faggot. The only thing you managed to convey with using age is how much you liked
sucking dick.
My entire point was that I forgot you could see other people type stuff like sage and noko in the
e-mail field, so the explanation with age "having no real function" made no sense to me when I
first saw it. But I never asked to be spoon fed, I knew I would eventually find out what that was
supposed to mean by lurking moar, and I did.
