They're probably talking about flash dying in December due to not being supported anymore.

would flash not being supported anymore cause all flash animations to break? I don't know shit
about flash, and I'm only here because I heard flash was "dying."

Just the browser plugin. The standalone projector program should still work, though Adobe will be
yanking it from their website. In the event of a projector killswitch, there are archived copies
of older projectors prior to the announced shutdown.
TL;DR you won't be able to watch them in your browser but will still be able to watch them if
you're dedicated enough.

ah I see. I just got the projector off of adobe's website, where could I get the other players?
Is there an archive of /f/ anywhere? I'm just now realizing how much information and content is
going to disappear forever, and I'd like to get a copy of at least some of it.

I have the older projectors on an air-gapped system. Currently living on a farm with really
crappy internet so I can't upload them at this time, but I'll make an effort to distribute them
here and swfchan in the coming months if the latest projector self-destructs. It'd be kind of a
bad deal since it would require everyone to trust .exes from a random anon.
The folks over at Newgrounds are also trying to develop their own player. Time will tell if that
pans out, given that the swf format is complicated AF and doesn't have the best documentation.

I'd say scrape 'em now, before Adobe remembers they upped these to Wayback and delete and unleash
a robots.txt. They seem to seriously not want the player plugins roaming around in the wild.

I'm curious as to how they did that circular effect with Collin.
