uh, what?
instead of piling on different boards, which makes each of them get less eyeballs (thinning
activity), it would be better to
1. ONLY have /v/
2. increase the number of active threads to 500 or something
3. let OP tag his thread Strategy, Mobile, RPG or Other (could have more tags)
4. let people filter to show either all tags or only one of the tags
/vg/ could stay at this point since it is an established board but personally i'd also get rid of
it, there was nothing wrong with having "general" threads on /v/, especially if the thread limit
is increased to 500.
i'd not add a "General" tag though because people would confuse it with "Other" and it's better
that general threads get categorized into for example the RPG tag if it's appropriate

/vmg/ has to be the most pointless board I've seen - all the gacha generals that clog /vg/ have
literally no reason to move over to the new board because generals are banned and no one who
wants to talk about gacha would go to a dead board when there are plenty of active threads
elsewhere. They could have saved /vg/ from the flood of mobile games and instead they did the
worst of all options.
