can ruffle do this?
>> [_] Anonymous 02/03/21(Wed)14:08:39 No.3459397
Ah, good.
lolicatgirls.swf shall remain /f/orver.
Even the newest of fags will experience the eternal joy of playing THE GAME.

I'd be impressed if it couldn't

ruffle seems to make my browser hang.
is it because I still have flash installed, maybe?
as it stands, I cannot use any site that implements ruffle, but at least 4chan still lets me open
the flash file in it's own tab so I can view 'em that way.

it's a kind of tug-o-war situation
if you have flash installed you're browser is almost guaranteed to be older or alternative and
therefor won't be able to cope with the ridiculous requirements of ruffle javascript
on the other hand if you're a ruffle user there's no way of re-enabling flash
so what will it be, the chad genuine experience or the virgin ruffle?

Waterfox Classic, so technically older, I guess.
I'm not really ready to remove Flash yet, but I suppose it's an inevitability.

I'm surprised at how many files work with ruffle, I'd be almost fine with it if it didn't not
play flashes when the tab isn't focused, fucking hell why is it like that? I want to listen to
loops while browsing the internet.

the playback is actually not as straightforward as you'd think; when the camera is panning to the
left the timeline is playing in reverse from actionscript 2.

i'm guessing waterfox classic has even worse support for webassembly than pale moon or basilisk,
since those two are using their own Unified XUL Platform and i think that has been worked on more
recently than whatever it is waterfox classic uses

you can click and drag the tab "into" your browser, which creates a new window with it. then you
can keep listening to it while you look at your other tabs in the other window
i wonder if pausing webassembly is a behavior of all webassemblys (webassemblies?) or if it's
specific for ruffle. if it is they should add a setting to allow it to keep playing in other
tabs. but it feels like it would be typical if putting webassemblys into "sleep mode" when not
viewed was a default browser feature to save power usage
