the tilt of the head of the fighter pilot skeleton kind of makes it look like a living pilot
looking at his Radar or instruments. maybe it was deliberate by the animators just a random
bounce by the skeleton looks like it's living when in reality the pilot is long gone.

i was also expecting carpet explosions but maybe the bomb split into several decoys and only one
of them was the real nuke? the world has really advanced AI so they could be able to make them
really small. doesn't look that powerful for being nukes anyway, not sure if "small nukes" could
even make mushroom clouds
perhaps a pilot is better in some way than the ai but it's still there as a backup. but yeah it
doesn't make much sense to have a fully automated system and then stick a pilot in the aircrafts.
