Another arch user here. I use plasma. Works fine. The only reason to use a tiling window manager
is if you're super autistic. Or maybe if you're dealing with nothing but programming, which you
could just do in a terminal window and tmux anyway.

What don't you like about Debian? It's fine for most people. The only issue is out of date
packages because it's not a rolling release like Arch. The problem with rolling releases is you
get the good with the bad. Bugs abound sometimes. Just check the homepage for broken packages
when you update.

I actually just tried to to install mint on an old computer that someone gave me on a whim and it
absolutely refuses to work. The installer just can't find the HDD and when I click anything on it
it crashes instantly.
