This popped up today so I made this for you.
Marked for deletion (old).

As in good old /f/ tradition, I made this to commemorate our end.
I made this flash in default windows video maker, exported it, imported it, exported to .MP4 and
then compressed it twice from 220 MB to 34 MB. Afterwards, converted it to .SWF and then
compressed that one more time.
I hope you guys enjoy :)

It is not quite over yet.
This is nice either way.

Some altchans like 22chan got ruffle implemented in their /f/ so it's not that difficult to save
flash. Currently we have ruffle in 4chan.org/flash, so there is at least some chance we will also
get it on our /f/

there is a way to keep using the latest version of the flash plugin
http://swfchan.net/43/MC1JOTP.shtml
just also need a browser that supports NPAPI

lulz
first thought i had when i opened the flash was that the background could have been a png image,
the /f/ text could have been actual text, the rotating present could have been a gif and the
snowflakes could also have been gif (a different one)
i wonder if it's possible to use actionscript 3 to render an embedded movie to BitmapData and
swap out all variations of green color to transparency, then you could make more cost effective
transparent snow flakes (in terms of file size) and also have for example 50% alpha where you
swap remaining green traces into semi-trasparent white
i think it's possible, have been meaning to try for several years but never got around to it

/f/ is staying, and websites that use flash won't be going away.
Ever heard of ruffle? It's this real time flash polyfill tool where all you do is include the
script in your page and it will replace all flash embeds with HTML5 compatible versions, it will
convert the flash in real time to canvas.
I've already implemented it on my website and now you never even get the "click to allow flash".

I heard that staff is planning to put ruffle here to keep /f/ alive iirc

Instantly thought of /f/ when this popped up today. End of an era but it was fun

/f/ isn't going away but Ruffle is shit.

Flash is not going anywhere. Ruffle is one option to keep it going and potentially even expanding
flash to a whole new audience, since it makes flash playable on mobile devices where it didn't
work until now. It's not the end, this is another beginning.

>browser randomly stopped running flash even when I permit it to
>never uninstalled flash and it even still urges me to do so
>I'm going to miss the last moments of actual swfs running on /f/ and the goodbyes people make
for it
It's not really that significant but I'm honestly a bit upset. /f/ has been a fixture of my
freetime on-and-off for more than a decade now. At least Ruffle will stop this shit from
happening anymore.
>>3447529
I don't know exactly what this swf looks like but you're great for going out of your way, OP.
