Hard question.
/f/ history isn't really recorded anywhere.
Maybe dig through classic flashes and their threads on swfchan?
Plus a good old understanding of ancient internet culture and memes (I did encyclopediadramatica
back in the day).
Some of it was on uncyclopedia aka sankaku complex.
Then get a look into the technical side of flash.
How and where is sauce obtained?
What is the flash format and what are the differences between it and for example raster video
(mp4).
Grab yourself a copy of adobe CS and get out there, do your first loop, or even draw something!
I just stumbled forward with online help. A good start was the tutorial on swfchan, and from then
on out you just set yourself a goal, break it into step by step pieces and look up information on
every step. There's a ton out there from the last 2 decades.
Also take a look at why flash is where it is today. The need for video embedding before html5 and
the quasi monopoly of flash at that time.
Newgrounds also was a huge influence in everything /f/.
Apart from that ... just >>3435687
/f/ didn't really change a lot, so I bet with time you could become the same quality level
educated /f/ag that everyone else before became.

for /f/ culture, lurk moar.
if you want to learn how 2 flash in general, think of an idea for a flash and make it, even if
it's just a dumb loop. If you're not sure how to pull something off, use FFDec to take a look
inside someone else's Flash file and see how he did it. that's the best way you'll learn.
