I miss the randomnes, the silliness, the madness, the non-chalant yet all powerful feeling that
we are the peak of horizon, the cutting edge of internet culture, a careless universal sense that
we are winning, that we are the lulz
I miss the nightly discussions you could still find in the morning, I miss when GETs actually
meant something, I miss the raids which weren't about politics but just to demolish some
bullshit, I miss the lack of seriousness, I miss how anon wasn't this stressed out depressed
ideologized strained thing but just us, bunch of carefree nomads on the internets wild west
maybe we were just young, maybe it just so happened it was a right alignement that may never
occur again, maybe it was all the same bullshit as today and we are just rosetinting it

I think we're just numb to stimulation. Back in the 90s the most stimulating thing in our lives
was a television. That had nothing on what the internet could provide. Then you've got 4chan. By
2005 it was the fastest moving, wackiest thing on the internet. It's still fast moving and wacky,
but we've gotten used to it. Like a drug, everyone needs a bigger hit to get high. I wonder if
kids born using the internet will ever feel the way about a site that we did about old 4chan?

I gotta be honest with you guys. I'm a newfag(summerfag to be more precise). I only came here a
few months ago. I'm not an election tourist, I'm actually interested in old 4chan culture. So I
power-lurked, by reading all the archives. Now, even tho by join-date I'm newer than a newfag, by
actual knowledge, I may as well be an originalfag. I guess that "You're here forever" can
sometimes, also extend to the past. Anyway, what I wanted to say is that everytime I hear what
awesome shit you did back in the day, even tho I wasn't there, I feel, idk, kinda nostalgic. It
