I just realized I am somewhat retarded and should've asked this first; when I open the file in
embed, audio plays properly but no video. Is being a chromefag an issue for this board? I've seen
lots of talk about firefox.

it's an issue with ruffle (which is used for Embed on /f/ now). ruffle can't play video yet so
you have to download the swf and open it in in your offline flash player.
simplest way is just to "open" it directly from your browser inside the download prompt, it'll be
downloaded to your %temp% folder and opened from there.

Ah got ya. I don't have any offline flash player downloaded. Would spoonfeeding me a download
link for a flashplayer be an option? I tried adobe shockwave but it's unsupported now. I realize
that I chose 2 months after the literal death of flash animation to start browsing this board,
but I'd still like to.

just get an old version of firefox which still suppports old school mozilla plugins (like 52 esr)
and install flash ver 18 or 20 or whatever (mozilla plugin) then go to about:config in firefox
and change the blacklist plugin address to something like http://127.0.0.1 then use that to
browse in here...

Thank you for all of the advice, anon. I'll do that, and I won't keep pestering you. Have a good
night!
