Forgot to add post.
I've been on 4chan since 2009. I think everybody in here knows why /f/ is a special place. No
matter what is shitting up the rest of the boards atm, /f/ stays coherent, full of shitty reposts
and a considerable degree of autism, but still with some fresh content. I feel people in here
resemble what most of us were when we first arrived here. We cared about animes and good stories.
We enjoyed fapping to beautiful boobs, ecchi or just played a Zone game for fun (I used to play
Soi-fon a lot). We appreciated these modern artworks called flash loops, merging a gif and a
song. Or maybe those early 2010s pixel animations, better than the ones at NG. It's a dying world
in the end, but I know I'm not the only one who remembers.
We approach a key decade when the carefree and exploring nature of what the web was in the
90s/00s (usenet included, why not) is going to vanish. I hope some new way of communication as
versatile and provocative as flash arrives at some moment. It is still one of my central pillars
of culture (I discovered SO fucking much music and movie references thanks to it). Also I spent
lots of silly afternoons just bouncing between games and animations. I work now, but that doesn't
change a fact.
Sorry for the rant. I'm a bit drunk and I probably said nothing new, but I just wanted to vent a
bit. I'm going to miss this internet and everything that spanned from it. Please, if you like to
be creative, find a way. I will try to find mine. And take care. I love you /f/riendos. Stay
safe, stay cool.

No need to be sorry m8, i think /f/ is a special, magical place that grabs sentimental people
over internet and keeps them hooked around.
I fucking love old websites or at least old looking ones. For instance, there's MajorGeeks- I
don't even use this, my autism simply forces me to open it whenever i like it and browse a
little. That site almost didn't change as far as i remember yet it's alive, just got this "old
website" vibe.
Reminds me of times when i was new into intewebz.
Fuck, if this board will ever meet it's final end, i'm gonna die alone and bitter.

I kinda feel with the death of flash this place became even more niche. Unless something happens
that makes flash popular again, I can't see a random user ending up here and saying "wow, that's
cool!". I think this place right now appeals only to the ones who were here already.

our board banner being picture of a browser pop-up doesn't help. lolicatgirls should have won.
then more people would click it wondering what it was all about.

I'm glad I started coming here, I was new and wondered what the hell is "flash", guess im still
new since I've only been on 4chan since September of 2020.
But this place holds a special place in my heart, it reminds me of the days when me and my cousin
would play flash games on our grandparents computer.
It was really cool seeing all the people on the board at the end of December, like I was
witnessing something really special and dear to people. I'm too young to have "really" grown up
of the "real" internet. But still, it reminds me of my childhood, so I'll keep on coming

might get ribbed on for it but same
i may not be an oldfag but flash content was still a huge part of my childhood so i'll always
come back to this board, and id be pretty sad if it died completely

/f/ is pure simply because kikes and corporations cant monetize it or politicize it.
>>3463862
flash might as well be latin at this point, it cant come back. its a dead format and most people
would rather spend their time persuing something that can generate them money.
the saddest thing people will never understand our love for .swfs, 20 years from now some zoomer
will say it was all nostalgia and tell us to get back in our pod and eat our bugs, they will
never experience when internet communities were actual communities with their own organic
cultures and purpose and not data mining corporate driven propaganda dispenceraries designed to
force a narrative down your throat or sell you a product.
I think the next oppertunity to experience something like this is unironically in space. we only
we could break free from society and form something new and pure. Maybe this is why our ancestors
constantly risked it all to go out and explore the unknown. As soon as the ruling/merchant class
gets its hands on something, they either destroy or pervert it, and the only way to fix it is...
to start over.

Ah, the good old days, 2017.... man why did Adobe had to kill flash... oh man I'm feeling so
old... will the golden days of 2017-2019 ever be back.....
man... 2017 was 30 years ago... God I'm feeling so old... good thing I have my fellow oldfags of
/f/ to cheer me up... man Flash is so nostalgic... my favourite flashes are 10MB videos of IOSYS
flashes....

I don't think there's any other feeling in the world than browsing /f/ on a random day, and
seeing that exact flash you had in mind posted. It makes you wonder if someone else out there
felt the same thing you did.
If you ever read a book that mentions /f/, then that means a fellow anon made it.

I lurked on here for years, along with /v/. This was the only board I felt comfortable posting in
so I decided to attempt making loops. Now I manage the /f/ discord.

>1995 was closer to 2007 than 2007 is to today
it really just feels like we've hit a technological plateau, the change between windows 95 to
windows 7 is so drastic but here we are still on windows 10 and it really never felt like such a
change from windows 7, unless of course you're on linux
its just a weird feeling that the internet is now just life, its not this carefree place to just
relax at like it used to be
i mean sure there will always be places like 4chan where you dont have to worry about life so
much but after a while it just becomes hard to avoid

Look at all these newfags. I came here in late 2005 from some random link on a sanic site and was
hooked ever since, /f/ really is the only board that really hasn't changed much since I started
coming here. I was here when towercat, I was here during the subeta raids, I was here when
scientology went down, and sadly, I was here when moot went sjw and sold the site and his soul.
Hell, /f/ and /g/ are the only reasons I come here anymore(occasionally /wg/ but even that board
has grown stale and stagnant as of late). It will be the saddest day when /f/ is put to rest,
maybe then I'll truly move on from 4chan, nay, imageboards in general. But for now I'll keep
browsing /f/ for that fresh oc, or the occasional pasta I missed the last time I was here.
>Keep ridin' on cowboy.

We’re at a time where /b/ is full of /pol/, /gif/ gets raided daily by Discord fags...
/f/ is the only good board left, unstained because normies don’t know about Flash anymore
I’m happy I discovered /f/ before 2017
Fuck, /f/ is the only good reason I have to go to this site now that every other board is
clinically dead

Quick question, does /f/ have Ruffle built in and forces you to use that or does it prioritize
using the extension if you have it?
