It's location is locked at compile time:
static const int topbar = 1; /* locks to top of screen */
static const int topbar = 0; /* locks to bottom of screen */
To lock the bar from being hidden/shown at runtime you need to change two lines:
static const int showbar = 1; /* locked to show */
static const int showbar = 0; /* locked to hide */
Then comment out this line:
/* { MODKEY, XK_b, togglebar, {0} }, */
then recompile it with,
sudo make clean install
I doubt this helps.
