I'm taking part in a nichijou reanimate project. I'm drawing the cuts where nano is in a field of
keys and misato shooting a minigun at sasahara.
I still need to do the background and compositing.
The resolution I used is very high, nano is even paint behind, please zoom in and see the details.

Reanimated projects are done for the same reason /a/ draws are made, to show love for the
original.
Some of the cuts will be funny bad or comedic, some serious, some experimental. For an animator
there is a lot to learn from studying the cuts of kyoto animation, trying to do them justice. The
people who would most likely enjoy this work are long time fans who'd get a kick out of that kind
of a love letter, again, not too different from /a/ draws.
Any given animator has only a few cuts, anywhere between 1-5. It's not as if the animators are in
a long term project.

Working with a bunch of random animators over the internet could give even experienced staff a
headache. Even just remaking an episode of an existing anime takes at least a year for these
projects.
I was a part of two attempts to animate a tsundere christmas carol by /a/. The one I was a
director on was constant arguing with people who wanted to helm the project themselves or just be
assholes where the owner broke and tried to move everything to irc, the other one is on permanent
hiatus. 100 animators sounds nice, but the lack of real coordination makes originals really damn
hard and time consuming.
