Sure, but even the fact that they now CAN use the board at all may lead to a whole bunch of
shenanigans in the future.
Remember, gatekeeping is what protected /f/ during the last decade.
Even if only 1% of phoneposters regularely visit /f/, they already outnumber old/f/ags. Maybe not
enough to post actual flashes, but enough to shit up all the threads as a fallback place for

It's not like there's absolutely no truth in what you say, but the facts speak for themselves.
/f/ was the only board that recieved massive gatekeeping due to people being less and less adept
in handling their own browsers. And incidentally /f/ is also the last lurkable board left on the
entirety of 4chan. Coincidence? I think not.
Phoneposting was one of the nails in the coffin that is today's imageboards. Prove me wrong,
faggot. Really, show me ONE place where the expansion of the userbase, with the concurrent
decline of the average poster (aka phoneposting in a nutshell) actually improved anything.
It's not like you couldn't already browse threads and reply to them. You should by now really
know the filenames by heart anyway and also threads stay up long enough to browse them still
after 24 hours.
The only thing that was enabled by being able to "watch" flashes now on phones are people wanting
to become newly familiar with the board culture and files. Just that they don't even have a PC to
actually browse and enjoy them. They're not willing to do anything to be able to be spoonfed
them. They see them through ruffle which cannot correctly emulate probably about 70% of all
flashes. And you expect them to lurk and learn to become proper /f/ags? How naive you must be.
Just wait until actually being able to correctly view a flash or posting your favorite flash game
will alienate you on this board.

nothing but mobiles, dead set on shitting up 4chan. People that lurk and post on 4chan on their
computer also do it on their phone, simply depending on what is possible or convenient at the
time. The quality of their posts is not determined by which device they use to post on 4chan, it
is determined by how much of a faggot they are and whether they had the decency to lurk a good
amount on a board before participating.
All I wanted was to be able to read a thread and post on /f/ while letting a nice flash loop play
in the background, without having to switch to the desktop site. Yeah, you seem to have
completely fucking missed the fact that [Embed]ing flashes on /f/ with your phone was already
possible, you just had to view the page in landscape mode. Literally all the mods did was spare
me the need to do that every time I want to open a flash on my phone. And I am very grateful for
that.

Don't underestimate people who only and only browse the internet through their smartphones (sadly
the majority of all peeps these days probably). Do you really think people who want to browse /f/
exclusively from the subway or the shitter and cannot even be arsed to get out of bed will be
dedicated to lurk and learn?
From my entire experience with phones, EVERYTHING is harder and more difficult and takes more
time there. People even stopped to post decent reaction images, because having a well organized
image folder is more than you can ask for on a phone. It's for your emergency dose only, not the
way it's meant to be experienced. I hope future generations might amend this way of life, but I
sure doesn't look like it.
Also yes, I don't browse /f/ on mobile and if I do, I don't play any swfs, so true. It's not like
