palemoon turns out to be a laggy piece of shite and now I understand why browsers use several
processes instead of one so I switched to brave.
so is there a way to let play flashes in a new tab on this one?

I just block them with ublock and umatrix so no problems there, but I might just go back to
firefox
I mean, what other browsers are there that let you open flashes in a new tab and are being
regularly updated

Firefox ESR still supports flash. Not forever but it'll get you through the summer.
The browser situation is dire. We're stuck with either outdated ones (Pale Moon / Basilisk) or
compromised ones (Brave / Waterfox).

I think he meant the browser itself is an ad/spyware. I don't know anything about that.
So flash works in Brave then?
Does Ruffle work in Brave as well? If you click [Embed] here on /f/ can you see the flash
playback with Ruffle or does the browser just slow down or freeze?

can't you just guide firefox to play flashes in the seperate flash player? That's what i do, and
while i can't really play flash games on other sites easily, I can just check the sites code to
find and download the flash for a bit to play it (of course, all this in the VM, virues ain't no
joke)

brave only prompts you to save the file after opening in a new tab and uses ruffle while flash is
embedded
>>3460299
firefox, as of v76.0.1, can still play flashes in a new tab but you have to accept the warning
dialogue. Embedded function uses ruffle. tho

I usually have 10+ tabs open on palemoon.
Looks like your PC is a toaster then, mine is 7 years old at this point and besides the rare
crash of xul.dll palemoon works like a charm for me.
Can't open those epic store videos though, oh the humanity.

Pale Moon has been working fine for me too (and having no spyware after mitigating it is great),
the only thing i'm afraid now are the security issues

yeah I'm running on a 9 year old athlon II x3 455 with only 8gigs of ram and it quite frequently
freezes every few minutes or so with 10 tabs in one window and youtube on another that I have
opened on my second monitor. This didn't happen with firefox and doesn't happen now with brave

im on 85.02 and my flash works fine with windows and linux
though interestingly enough, it wasn't working on windows until i fixed it on linux
all i did was go to the swfchan/the end page or whatever its called and extracted the correct
file to put into my firefox plugins
now it works on both, maybe because the sync feature i have enabled?

I got ruffle and chrome and it's been working reasonably well so far, embeds and all.

Working with moonchild is either hit or miss. You can't really tell what's going on in his Pale
Moon updates. I feel like someone needs to take over his role.

>use Pale Meme for Flash files
>use another browser for everything else
Isn't that hard. Also PM works fine for me, the latest version improved the performance a lot, at
least on my end.
