yeah, me too
I don't know what it is about them
but they tingle me in a way that high resolution modern animu graphics don't
maybe they remind me about a time where I was really surprised to see nudity on a SNES
and also the drawing style at that point in time was high effort high quality attention to detail
that you don't see in the modern common milktoast moe character design
just watching the opening of gunsmith cats give me the heebie jeebies
