It's painful to see /f/ in this state. Loops have inspired me for more than 14 years. I still try
to find something similar, something you can put on the background to work and come back from
time to time to refresh your mental atmosphere. But they are simply gone.
WEBMs are not the same. Or maybe I just miss someplace purely oriented to loops, like Pown or z0r
in the past. Not to say /f/.

/wsg/ have loop threads sometimes, here's one in their archive:
>>>/wsg/4720047
it's not the same and there are video conversions of old flash loops.
the example thread i linked is a poor one with few posts, usually there are original content (and
by that i mean not videos of old flash loops). they never repeat seamlessly because it's a video,
the visuals are never detached from the audio because it's a video, and i always wonder how many
times smaller they would have been if they were created as a flash instead.
"comfy" threads can also have some loops

I recently came back to this board when I was trying to run saved .swf files from my collection
and realized most of them don't run neither on ruffle or lightspark. They also don't run on swf
chan's website because they also use ruffle. Is there a way to run them offline without risking a
security breach from flash player?

Yes, disconnect your internet when running flash and make sure you got backups. Also if you're
reqlly paranoid, run them inside a virtual machine

It might sound paranoid, but here's what I do.
I run the standalone player using firejail and I've set it up, so the player can't use the
network and can't write/delete anything. There might be something similar for windows.

adobe disabled internet access and access to local files a long time ago in their standalone
flash projector. so it's sandboxed by default.
in order for a swf to connect to internet you have to whitelist the folder containing the swf
file:
right-click in flash > global settings > advanced tab > trusted location settings
