reminder that /f/ still doesn't have a manager/carataker so please someone step up, it's not even
hard, all you have to do is ask what the board wants, no tactics required

I dunno about that. Why would /f/ need one? I like the board as it is. I wouldn't want someone to
ruin the fun here

What would help is more original content. I mean making flash content is easy as fuck. Also
there's the problem with board limitations. Threads should have the option to upload more than
one flash file, or at least images. Imagine that I offer to do a flash by request, but anons
can't upload reference images, neither follow a flash's development that will be eliminated in 3
days. And as a rule I don't use Discord or any other social under any circumstance, that's why
/f/ is awesome, is anonymous and clean. You give and take what what you like and that's it, it's
gone.
/f/ is designed to cap itself. Without changing any of that, it will stay the same. I'm mostly ok
with the board though. But I can understand the lack of interest in a board that just re-post
stuff from swfchan again and again in an infinite cycle.

Yeah that's why I have given up on community events about /f/.
You just accept the fact that fast and colourful discussion is to be had else. /f/ is a quiet and
sophisticated overlook on all of the internet.
You participate in meaningful banter elsewhere and when the day is over you return to base with
your spoils to let other /f/ags know.
It's how /f/ has operated for more than 1 decade now.
The biggest problem was unironically the wipe of flash off the internet. Interest has naturally
been lost as a consequence. Only people who remember flash can participate now, no new nobody
teen will just happen to stumble upon it and take the flag again. We were factually rationized
off the face of the planet. We are a dying breed now.
I live in fear of the day when /f/ looks like every other flash board. No new post (even reposts)
in weeks and weeks.
It will truly be over at that point.

I think this is a legitimate fear but you'll only see it when we literally start dying. The
people who remember this place exists are dedicated to it and would never want to see that
either. Maybe I just speak for myself but I'll always check every day for that lost little kernel
of the old internet I havent seen in a decade.

>Threads should have the option to upload more than one flash file
have you seen /wsg/? /f/ would likely become like that board if you could do that. Touhou Tuesday
and similar would be stuck into a single thread.
>or at least images.
i'm not sure, there's something to having text only replies. I can see that many people would
want to be able to though.
One simpler change to the board would be to simply have more thread space. If it ever picks up
more activity, extending the number of concurrent live threads past 30 could do a lot to make the
discussion stick around longer.
>>3498158
>no new nobody teen will just happen to stumble upon it and take the flag again.
You'd be surprised. When I was a younger autist I'd do just that with old internet stuff. I bet
/f/ gets the occasional younger dumb teen who stumbles in from the front page of 4chan or the top
banner every week.

>Threads should have the option to upload more than one flash file
Also 7chan (I think?) threads. Kinds horrible to search through countless threads in the archive,
all having a bazillion files and the flash in question was never even acknowledged.
> having text only replies
Yeah, so to speak, /f/ is the last remaining text board, as those were all wiped at some point
(though long past their prime).
> simply have more thread space
Maybe, but then again compare swfchan.
I kinda like a single visible window, no scrolling needed. It makes for a managable task to look
at all threads, while skimming though a bunch of older threads is a more daunting task and only
serves to bump conversations that are already dead. I think the fact it was never changed was for
a good reason possibly.
> I bet /f/ gets the occasional younger dumb teen who stumbles in from the front page of 4chan or
the top banner every week.
Ayyy, I'd like to have your optimism, anon!
Who even uses both of these today? The fronpage kinda became a relic with mandatory captcha
bullshit. And /frames is a myth for oldfags.
