it was made in 2001 on flash 5 not MX
Having said that;
1) The file has copyright protection using the _url property, if you click "forward a few times
in standalone, it just shuts off using the fscommand
2) Exporting this into an fla is a nightmare; the file goes in and comes out the otherside all
weird; arms are in spots they shouldnt be, vectors are off stage, the captions need to be readded
etc
3) Most swf decompilers were made with MX and beyond in mind; all the ones I've used don't like
flash 5 as much as they like MX
There are other versions of genyu blade without the licensed music in it and several 'lighting
effects' as file sizes got bigger on the internet, but I feel this is the best one; its not
ridiculously dark, its the one most people remember wehn the site blew up not long after the
teaser was on newgrounds.

Did you know flash have been used to make a lot of "real" shows?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Flash_animated_television_series
But unless the swf was released there's probably some more non-flash stuff done as well, like
shadows and special effects.
I can't remember the filename but I saw a very nicely done official animation of Batman or
Spiderman or whatever it was. The best purely flash animation might be some spinoff of a real
show that they put on their website as a promotion in the early 2000s.
I also remember seeing some Zelda parodies on newgrounds that are at least on par with Shoo Fly.

That was probably Gotham girls. They got better as file sizes got bigger. It was made by Noodle
Soup, the fellas behind venture bros.
