26 old NEET who wasted his potential on dumb hopes. Starting next week I have to look for a job,

I distinctly remember going through this period of my life (34 here) where I considered myself
wasted potential as well. I still do, but then again, the people who are more successful than me
received significant help from their family, friends, etc. (I write about this because
considering yourself a wasted potential implies comparison). They had their environment going for
them.
Today, I kinda accepted being a failure at this age and just keep on working. Maybe I will be
successful, maybe not. At least I can keep on trying.
