Well take a seat and grampa will tell you all about these super ads that were televising to our
tubes.
You see back when phones had 14+ physical buttons and their screens were able to show whopping 2
colors they could also make noises and not just any noises but midi tunes. The rich kids' phones
were even able to play polyphonic melodies and what you see here is what the advertisement is
for. Trying to sell you a .midi file that you could set as your ringtone.
Gummi bear, Crazy frog, the small chick. All those started as purchasable ringtones for phones
that were advertised on Viva and MTV.
