I can. It's a polished and genuinely fun game.
Same with R&C2, R&C&La Mulana and R&C&Fatamorgana

Also RED ALERT EVERYONE. NIGORO.JP's, the legendary devs behind Rose and Camellia, their hosting
domain has expired. All their flashes except the rose and Camellia series which have been
archived, are completely gone. Those shitty museums only have the fucking preloader swfs.
Amazing flash history at risk. If anybody has a tip, please tell me here, or just write NIGORO in
all caps on any post with a tip.

But nigoro.jp is up...?
> 256sv.com expired
Fuck!
I looked up its IP history and tried to connect to the older ones (with the right host), but
they're all hugedomains.
Wayback machine never crawled anything but the preloaders, either.
That's all I could do.

Trust me. I've tried everything, the archives and japanese internet in general included. I'm
ready to take the mantle to retranslate them if I have to. But thank you still.
I am hoping somebody would have some of those in their collection or something. I regret not
saving them myself earlier.
I've emailed nigoro directly too in hopes they'll answer with some resolution, a reassurance of
refreshing the domain, or even negotiating some alternative, free method of hosting on github or
something, but naturally I don't have any hope.
I don't want masterpieces like FDC to be lost to history.

shit, that's sad. boy how i wish swf never had the ability to load external content, even when it
would have hurt usability a lot in the early days

As long as you have the ability to load something from a network, you can't really stop that.

Crazy how disastrous simple preloaders were for present-day archivists. In the end they did their
job: prevent ripping/cracking proprietary content. But thinking of how easy it is to get a loaded
swf from a basic memory dump, let alone extract strings like raw URLs from an FWS byte stream
it's insane how effective the simple measure of embedding another movie from a preloader turned
out to be.
With very little fore(hind)sight on how the scraper bots were coded could have saved maybe tens
of thousands of flashes that are now lost in time.

I thought "nothing could be erased from the internet", was it all a lie?

Hopefully these are not lost forever and somebody from NIGORO posts these somewhere or reinstates
their hosting site.

The most depressing is when a flash is a video convert of what was clearly a flash originally.
Sometimes, especially later on it was the result of the creator posting it only in video form,
but other times it's just cause no one posted it elsewhere (though it may still exist on someones
harddrive somewhere). Cirno Mentos is like this,it, and others made by the same guy were
originally posted to a forum centred around king of fighters it seems, and I recall on some
others with expired dl links. Though they may be one and the same but the links I have refer to
the former which I can't view and archive never scraped so the one I did view was likely under
another forum; www.orochinagi.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1715

You cannot erase that which never existed in the first place (i.e. not posted on facebook).
