I think the new captchas on other boards fucking suck

moot 2.0 is really a magician. He somehow made recaptcha feel like a good deal compared to what
all other boards have to suffer through.

>post as you want
>use this third party software with options
>use this different third party software
>use this slow ass image only recaptcha (/f/ is here)
>home brew word captcha with a hidden timer of about a minute before forced restart
>solve a second cloudflare captcha (just one or 2 clicks) on top of the words
>cloudflare , image AIDS word captcha
>cloudflare, a full 15 min timer (or give us an email) and then an AIDS word captcha (the 15
timer resets if you're too slow in posting btw)
>cloudflare, a whole new anti AI captcha cancer, word cancer
> cloudflare, anti AI captcha, cloudflare AGAIN, 15 min timer, word cancer (all under that very
same 60 second timer btw)
>new captcha is also system linked to image posting blocks (you can post freely without images
but you need to submit an email to post with images on that blocked board)
and I remember begging for /f/ to be updated to the words captcha system. How naive I was three
years ago

Never think it can't possibly get worse. I shudder to think what's next for the other boards or
if hiroshima decides to put the 15 minute timer on us.

I don't think it can become better either. Hiroshitma doesn't care much about this website
anymore.

I prefer word captchas to recaptcha, which is the worst I've ever seen. The word captcha is
consistently solvable and more apparent if it's difficult to/contentious. Recaptcha can't
properly define as to what counts as being in a square, and so will often fail cause sometimes
half a bike wheel counts, other times it doesn't and then on top of it, the more you fail it the
longer things take to appear on those types or the worse they make the image division as a form
of thinly veiled blacklisting behind the premise of bot brute force prevention that spirals
downward as you inevitably fail what was 20x slower for you to solve in the first place. It was
made worse when it applied to your session as a whole, so if you failed recaptcha here recaptcha
took longer to show new squares and made them reppear more on other sites.
Granted the 15 minute timer is worse, so I'm glad /f/ is locked in time. On that note there is a
way around it that involves both ;). Also I've noticed if I maintain sessions over time I never
have to renew the 15 minute exemption. So if I don't close the browser and put it to sleep then I
can post tomorrow even if 24h has passed. Works with cookies too I think, such that opera (which
I don't have cookie autodelete on) never asks me for it whenever I've had to post using it cause
firefox didn't work for some reason.
