Would you consider eating a cooked cat if given to you /f/ags?

Maybe, out of curiosity, dependent on the location where it's offered. Which is to say no in the
realistic chinatown case cause how am I to know this cat didn't eat gutter oil fried rat deposits
all day? It's not exactly some lynx living in the woods. I suppose there's similar risk with
roided cows but at least, being herbivores, the slop they're fed is almost fully vegetarian and
so has less practical risk of parasites and common illnesses. And on the other hand if it was
someones pet and was fed decently then it either died of illness or more likely was petnapped.
And so the last scenario is where I would have peace of mind in regards to the quality of meat,
but then it's also the most scrupulous.
Conceptually I'm not opposed to eating many sources of meat so long as it doesn't put the animal
near extinction cause that's shitty, is extremely inefficient, or is an animal that shows high
behavioural variance or is extremely long lived in which case I think it's a waste. Cats/dogs
qualify somewhat for the second and so to use them as a regular source of meat I think is shitty
and they are only eaten in china cause enough will eat anything and thus a buisness can be made
out of it.
So with all that said, relating back to the first statement, if there was a bustling feral cat
population in the woods or near some very rural area and someone offered me it there, then I'd
probably try some.

I'm no expert on food, but I do believe that few meat sources as food are inherently bad.
It all depends on the lifestyle and food of the animal you're trying to consume.
So a room raised cat with only the finest cat food fed might just as well be edible, if maybe
hideous in taste idk.
I bet during war times people ate the odd cat or two.

No, for personal reasons.
I'd cook a dog, though.

My dad loved this animation when I was a kid. I'm going to bring it up the next time I see him.
