is this the future I am dammed to? having to use a non-standard compliant (due to being wip) player
that can't handle a significant portion of the library to play flash files that don't actually work
in any actual official flash player?
if/when ruffle updates to be more accurate and breaks these, what then?

Doesn't seem to work in Ruffle either.

It works only with using ruffle if you watch it on swfchan dot com archive, neither in offline
player nor if you click the link in the thread, lol

Cool edit, shame it only works in ridiculously narrow circumstances. Reminds me of Ravenemore's
goth Frankie.

fwiw you can run it offline in ruffle's offline launcher. Might as well grab it now and just start
your 'these ones need ruffle for some reason' collection

Good idea, though I would call it "OnlyRuffs", arararrarararr

It's a good edit so pity that it's crashing the player.
Can someone skilled with analyzing swfs figure out WHY this works on Ruffle while it doesn't work
with the real flash plugin?

Hai, your resident flash-fix-it-all anon speaking.
There is a PlaceObject2 in Frame 1 which is placing nothing at layer 91. This is a normal thing by
flash specs, and is supposed to be ignored by the player. Instead it crashes it. What a mystery.

Using FFDec to delete that layer actually fixed it, nice callout

Thank you for having a look and figuring out why it didn't work!
>>103823
Would you mind uploading the fixed flash? Name it something like

ruffle is running certain flasesh that even the latest version of flash player can't, looks like
ruffle is the continuation of flash player

I think you misunderstand poor flash optimization for improvement.
Of course if people were to develop only for ruffle end users, the intricacies of that program
become more important than the old ones in flash, but that doesn't make it "better" in any way.
Just different in a very useless way.
Also, I have to come across a single flash yet that doesn't work with flash in browser that ruffle
can play.
