Why doesn't it work? I downloaded both files from here: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.to
tallyspies.com/_upload/_module/uk/_complex/gam_forteresse/* and put them in one folder, but the
text from the advtext.txt file still doesn't show up in the game.

try without the line break between "soles" and "anti-shock".
other than that maybe you save the text file with a BOM character and the flash player can't read
it? a BOM character is a special character at the start of the txt that tells windows if it's a
unicode/utf8 textfile. open in notepad and "save as", then specify ANSI encoding.

Tested it and got it working just fine with flashplayer_32_sa.exe
Another thing you could check is if your text file is actually named advtext.txt.txt by mistake (if
you have hidden file extensions).
