If I recall, the story went something like this:
You play as a woman whose husband just died, and his bitchy family of two sisters and his mother
won't let you get the inheritance that he left you because they think you're too low class, so
you set out to prove them wrong by slapping their shit.
The Maid's there because she wanted to test you to see if you could really take on the mother.
After beating the mother, she reveals that she wanted you to become strong enough to defeat the
demon in the basement or something like that, so you gotta slap its shit too. I never beat the
demon yet so I dunno what happens there.

I just beat the demon for the first time (was on easy, sue me). Can't read japshit though, looked
like she became the matriarch of the household or something. Demon is hard though, goddamn, takes
you out in 4 hits, and auto-hits you if you don't counter her every time.
