>> Joshex 104961 For those who don't get the reason why I linked gunpei yokoi to this, it's because he was the lead R&D responsible for the hardware of the tamagachi in the 90s. eventually it became pokemon. the more you know. also he invented Samus Aran because he thought using a strong female lead would get girls into gaming. he was astrong proponent of trying to expand nintendos market to girl gamers. that backfired big time. samus became an internet sex symbol.

Samus was made female as a joke + fanservice, the first game doesn't have any hint at you playing as a woman unless you manage to speedrun to the end in 2.5 hrs. Helmet is taken off if reaching the ending in 7.5 hrs but then it just be a guy with bushy hair.
