Alright SPOILERS!!!!
If you do what it tells you to do the world is black and white because you lack Freedom
If you go against everythign it does, the world gets awesome and colorful
But you ahve to follow it's advice once ((when it tells you to not fail)) otherwise you cannot
progress; It's a metafore for the fact that sometimes in life, you have to do something you are
told,.
And that kids is the lesson for today...
>> [_] Anonymous 06/24/10(Thu)04:13 No.1298276

the black and white metaphor isn't really valid because the world becomes more detailed and
useful, and the colors impair your ability to see what the hell is going on.

Ahh it's been awhile I forgot about that part... Been awhile since I played it last time
Think about it deeper, alot of times, when you listen to what someone tells you to do, doesn't
life get a easyer? however it also gets boring.
But if you pick your own path, it's hard, but at least life gets more interesting!
METAPHOR ADAPTED!!!

Either way it is a good game
if you don't save it yourself, it is also available on kongregate. I think....
>> [_] Anonymous 06/24/10(Thu)04:20 No.1298284
I still think its playing on spouse abuse. when you start the game you dont know that this game
will change your answers so you answer faithfully "im a boy or a girl" so that you get the OTHER
role in this flash.
When you then play the game it sometimes tells you things you dont want to do.if you stilldo them
the relationship with the unknown entity gets better and the world gets more understandable as
well as useful (edges turn to slopes)
if you disobey you get more flavor in your life (thats the colors) but it may hinder your sight
on the real world as in you destroy your relationship.

so I noticed if you chose the opposite of your actual gender I.E: I'm female but I picked male so
it says I'm a girl.
I did everything it said and in the end I was a "good girl"
this time around I'm going to disobey and basically play as a "boy".
>> [_] Anonymous 06/24/10(Thu)04:47 No.1298302
>"Why do you hate me?"
Because you indulge in pseudo-psychological bullshit and think you are clever.
>> [_] Anonymous 06/24/10(Thu)04:47 No.1298304
okay.... so...
this time I picked woman (boy), and refused help (you will fail).
went against everything it wanted and said it owned my body (so, dance for me)
I noticed in the end you could fail a BILLION TIMES, it will always keep prompting.
in the end, "why do you hate me", and just a long tunnel to walk through until the title card/end
screen.
gonna try the same thing again, except asking for help and it owning my mind.
---
I NOTICED: around the 3rd, or 4th time failing, the game just goes color-crazy that it might be a
little too hard to see very well. only in one section did I have a hard time reaching the final
save point because the wall was no longer curved and just a colored block.

oh yeah, I also picked frightened.
another thing I should mention... if you press space in the beginning it will say "You are wrong".

okay, so...
answered I am a woman (boy) again, asked for help and it refused.
did everything it asked, and it owned my mind (forgot what it said)
very black and white once it tells you to stand still.
didn't fail at all at the end.
it loved me, was glad to see me etc.
ending was some weird little area I had to climb up to access a coin that changed title card
thingy.
this time around I'll make choices that seem beneficial to my health.
this flash isnt really deep at fucking all, I'm bored so here I am trying to figure it out in
some way.

Wait, am I SUPPOSED to follow what the voice says?
I finished it once, disobeying most of the things told, and got an abrupt ending. Then I did
everything it told me and I got NO, YOU ARE A MAN.
wtf, I thought this was about choice and freedom but apparently is on how to do what the other
wants you to in a relationship, so that you feel better.
>> [_] Anonymous 06/24/10(Thu)08:58 No.1298397
>>1298396
Who said its about relationship?
>> [_] Anonymous 06/24/10(Thu)09:48 No.1298418
Am I the only one that thinks this is obviously parental?
A parent might not want to teach you how to play, for it is up to you to figure out the facts of
life. Yet it will give a hint if you screw up (like trying to use a mouse).
A father might call his son a little girl, as extremely negative motivation to make his son prove
him wrong.
An insecure mother might ask her child why it doesn't love her, though going against her wishes
doesn't show hate she perceives it as such.
As you learn from your guardian the world becomes sharper, clearer. As you ignore its advice it
becomes more colorful but also more chaotic and unclear, as the color blocks begin to obstruct
your vision.
At the end, if you followed its advice it tells you that though it has been hard on you it's
proud of you, has loved you always. At the end, if you follow its advice you are a now a man, no
longer a boy, or a woman, no longer a little girl.
>> [_] Anonymous 06/24/10(Thu)09:59 No.1298426
If you don't follow its advice, you estrange yourself with your parent. It gives you the choice
to go or stay. If you go, it begs you to stay, because parents love their children and don't wish
to see them go.
If you stay, it tells you you both can begin again. To start over and despite your upbringing
maybe try and repair the bond you and your guardian might have.

>>1298277
Oh but it is valid. Ones perception of the world is ''clearer'' when things are black and white.
But when you see in colour, you see that things are not so clear. For example, no one person is
pure ''evil'' or pure ''good''. Someone could be a philanthropist, but be cruel to animals. One
could be a nazi, but an advocate for women's rights. Odd combinations but you get the idea.
