It loads the menu screen it seems to bug out and be unresponsive when there's no internet
detected.
is there a hack to play the normal version offline ?

you could write a simple server that gives the program what it wants to run, thats how we did it
with Audacious.. audacity. i forget the name, it was beta when we did it though. i remember
modifying the code a few years ago.
