Well if Anon D is back, let me ask this:
is this game built on a Markov chain model or just RNG?
'cause it seems like bumps are more likely after a bump and sages more likely after a sage so
that would suggest the former
also yes, I've seen it before

can't help you, I'm not actually anonymous D

You can, actually. Just collect ordered data from approximately a thousand transitions
(bump/sage) sorted by thread and tag, then run a Baum-Welch hidden Markov model analysis. I'd do
that myself but playing the game is more fun

Sage for it's already archived!

Funny how I had 2 mill for like 7320 seconds and then one /h/ thread shot up from 100,000 to 8
million

5557, took me forever to get past the 1000s but once there game is easy mode. Is it worth it to
invest in CP?

always

It's been a long time since I wrote this... but I do remember some about the game mechanics.
It's simple RNG, nothing extravagant. Posts tend to BUMP more at the start of its life cycle,
then slowly tends towards SAGEs. G, L, H, and A posts have different kinds of life cycles, some
longer than others. H posts can end up as MISTAGs, and get SAGEd to hell. Also, CP posts will
bump rapidly, but can be B& at any time, and be worth 0.

Kthx. So the correlation was all in my mind. That's good to know.
It could have been something like
every random seconds,
if thread doesn't have a state, with 75% chance give it a bump, else sage, and set thread state
to bumped or saged respectively
if thread is bumped, bump it with 75% probability, else set thread status to saged
if thread is saged, sage it with 75% probability, else set thread status to bumped
That'd be your basic stock economics model type of thing. But this being as you describe it, I
figure the best way statistically is to sell rather fast. The best way to get a very high score
is probably to reroll until you get a D user or a CP thread as your first and until that nets you
about one hundred thousand, then proceed from there.

CP is worth it, although I did end up losing near everything once. It's best to buy it then sell
it in under three seconds.
