Because there's not a lot to be done with it. You need to be using headphones for the best
effect, while a lot of folks prefer using speakers instead.
And really, what use for it is there, that isn't currently being somewhat met by current surround
sound systems?

That's all you need, 2 mics, make sure they're condensers though. You need to catch every sound

It's easier than you'd think, 2 mics in a polystyrene head that's been cut down the middle with a
hot wire and had holes drilled down the "ear canals." I guess they have to be good quality mics
for it work well though.
