I'm not sure why that is. It won't lag on me if I lessen the screen resolution. I have a powerful
computer, but something about the background is just considered "high task".

browsers only use so much computing power. Even if you use a badass super machine, IE can only do
so much, you know? Also, lower resolution/window size means less resources are put into
rasterizing the vectors associated with flash. That's why standard videos have no problems but
these animated vector images do.
