Pick up random items to lower barriers.
There are two keys:
The bronze key opens bronze doors and chests.
The gold key opens gold doors (and I think there's a golden keyhole hidden somewhere which does
something else).
There are illusory walls. They don't cast a shadow.
You'll find a book of transmutations early on. Find the items it asks for go to the book and
press the transmutation button on the appropriate page to receive a tool. There are following
tools:
Magnet: Pulls iron blocks towards you. If the iron blocks are fastened to a wall you are pulled
toward them instead. Iron blocks can be dropped into chasms to make a bridge. Loose iron blocks
can also be pushed. You don't need a magnet for that.
Pick: Use on piles of dirt to clear them away. There might be items hidden under them.
Candle: Light braziers or set vegetation on fire.
Crystal: Used near the end of the game.
