i figured it all out, without japanese or translation
one thing that took me ages to learn was that you could upgrade units into prestige classes after
level3. costs money and seems to lower stats, but i assume there is benefit in the form of
special abilities. Shield fighters slow the enemy on hit.

Shield fighters halt the enemy momentarily but only do a little more damage than a regular
fighter. Axe fighters hit almost twice as hard as regular fighters, but attack 40% slower.
Fireball mage hits a big area, but the attack moves VERY slowly. Wind mage doesn't hit as hard as
normal mage but hits upwards of 5 or so targets at once.
I cannot tell the fucking difference between the archer prestiges.
Firey cross priest seems to increase damage output of nearby allies. Purple priest seems to drain
the enemy's health when it walks in its range.
Also Japan's become a bit of a shithole and on a worse decline than the US is, especially in the
gaming industry. The only japanese companies for games that are making profit are generally
aiming at the western audiences.
