There's just too much. Surely wherever it was inside there will be a big empty area, a sack that
was containing it all that could get reinfected? I mean, with that much inside, and it looking so
flat, it HAD to have taken up some space where muscle USED to be or something... I don't know.
Just, when it gets that bad, I'd just want the arm(?) removed from the abscess down, because
reinfection would be insane. I've had abscesses, and even with small ones (at least in comparison
to THIS motherfucker) it's fucking annoying as hell at the least.

Well in this case, it's not that the pus has taken place of muscle. The skin has stretched
outward under pressure and weight. Pus isn't actually the infection. It's what your body does to
wall off areas that could be infected. It does form a cavity where the abscess was, but that's
why this is all done in a sterile hospital, where the doctor can clean it out and suture the
opening, if no further drainage is needed.
