I don't get any of this Homestuck shit. What's the appeal?

Man, for you it's like reading a small passage from a book that you've never red. You won't
understand anything, you won't get who are those person acting in this passage, what's the stuff
they all worry about.
Those flashes are animation parts from the huge and magnificent webcomic called "Homestuck" (made
by its creator Andrew Hussie from MSPaintAdventures.com with the help of community). And what
you've seen is another plot-development twist.
You can go to MSPA, open Homestuck page and get into this mind capturing amazing adventure, and
enjoy it wholly and this flashes too as hundreds of people do.
Or you can just ignore it from now on. Do your choice.

I understand what it is, I read about it on tvtropes long ago. I was just wondering what the
appeal is.
Also

I love you

Try going through it sometime. Tvtropes can help and give examples, but the fanbase is still
inexplicable.
I couldn't get that far, even though I keep hearing that it gets awesome later on. To me, it was
boring, even with all the supernatural stuff going on. Even after one of the characters
practically went to hell, it was still boring. Props to them for somehow managing to pull that
off though.

There are about 9 albums out for the comic, but not any of the recent songs, yet.
