It hurts during the entire fucking process, even touching it or rubbing it against something

Jesus H. Raptor, how does anyone let it GET this bad before they go to the doctor...or at the
least say "fuck it" and get a knife and a piece of leather to bite on...I had one once, and mine
was maybe 1 percent this size, and it was agony, to the point I lanced it myself, so there's no
way it just slipped his notice.
tl;dr, Why the fuck did he wait long enough for it to get that bad?
