Of the 61,036 scores recorded, you scored in the 69th percentile. The percentile is the
percentage of subjects who scored less than you.

There's far too many variables keeping this from being a decent scientific experiment. Just a
novelty really.

Wow. I have poor hearing based on the results of everyone else in this thread.
I got trials 4, 5, 8, 18, 23, 26, 28, 30, 33, & 35 wrong.
Alot of the music sounds like it could've come from/could've been in a video game. I would've
liked alot of those trials made into full songs.
Seriously, why can't more music be that good?
>> [_] Anonymous 06/14/11(Tue)07:02 No.1523883
This is really more a test of your auditory short-term memory than of your hearing itself.

94.4% a lot of these are more memory and attention to detail than tone-deafness. This is probably
a "blind study" for one of those other factors, disguised as a tone-deaf test to get a baseline
reading without the testee being conscious of their mental behavior. Eg: if I know its a memory
test, Im going to concentrate harder, perhaps use memory techniques that otherwise I wouldn't
use, like a mnemonic, memory mansion, or whistling the tone repeatedly until I have motor-muscle
memory of the movement required to repeat it.
Notice how there is no replay button for each tone set. this would be helpful for a tone deafness
test, but would inhibit a test of memory or attentiveness.

This is stupid. I was concentrating on overall tone, not on 1 note differences. I didn't try

>> [_] Anonymous 06/14/11(Tue)17:24 No.1524030
As it's been stated, this is most likely a memory test and not a test for tone-deafness. I have
pretty good relative pitch, but only scored in the 80's for this because some of the things in
here are long enough that it's hard to tell minor differences apart without the ability to
re-listen or anything.
