Now with nearly tripled space, navigational map, and it does not go down anymore! Also, no more
russians. Viva boss Z!

backmap doesnt seem to work as it should . also you need to fix it so that you dont have to wait
for all thumbs to be loaded before the image you clicked on will be loaded
how come you didnt build this to support unlimited space? just make it so that you cant put a
picture more than ~300 px from someone else's and you cant expand from your own images. needs
prevention from expanding like crazy in one direction though, dont have the energy to write down
how you do that since you'll most likely not bother to implement it.
also how does one keep russians away? \\(o_o))//

oh yeah, you should maybe add notice about how flash cant handle animated gifs or something. they
still work if you download em

how can I get the SWF to work directly from my computer?
>> [_] Anonymous 11/14/08(Fri)20:57 No.848217
You need to make it less of a strain on your computer and take less memory. If one sits and looks
around for a while, his computer starts to slow down. Make it so thumbnails that are loaded are
removed from memory after a certain space offscreen.

found cp at 4212:1863 (dont really know how the coordinates work but i got those x/y values when
the cp thumb was in sort-off the center of the screen). toddler from the looks of it. might also
be a doll but im not checking it any closer

not very bandwidth friendly for him eh?
the thing is taking 800 MiB of memory right now for me (around 10% CPU when idle, 50% when I move
it around (have two cores, so 100% of one core))
so it is indeed pretty demanding. but memory is cheap, i dont think there's really a reason to
unload thumbs (unless the browser get them from the cache if they go onscreen again)
if people have a old computer they can just reload the browser when it starts to slow down.
of course a button like "flush thumbs" would be okay since you dont have to use it unless it lags
for you

That's an even better idea.

Actually i'm not the owner/author. I only update periodically the /f/ mirror. As for the
suggestions, i'll be sure to report them... i was aware that the backmap is kinda buggy...so it's
not just me.

The program seems very pointless, its like the inverse of a forum on a web browser. It has no per
post comments, no real sense of categorization, not easy to browse through, which induces
difficulty to moderate, poor UI design principles, badly chosen communication primitives,
horrifying system resource management. The list goes on and on...

yeah, a lot of space is wasted due to human error. if you can just make a grid of some sort so
the pictures all fit together perfectly. i doubt it'd be hard to do.

Tried having a folder in thumbnail view in XP/Vista? now drop the ordering and have no folders.
Then you'll have what that'll be like.
