Enjoy your world where 10 voice actors does the voices for 1000 people. Also make sure you enjoy
teleporting around on the map (making you feel like it's not a big world). Enjoy dragons being
the easiest enemy in the game. Enjoy having 10 perks out of 100 actually being worthwhile wasting
level-up-points on. Most importantly, enjoy following the white blip on your compass like a slave
(you are a mindless drone running from point A to point B without thinking in between).

first of all, if there is a thing that can be used for conveniance I'll use it. im human.
however if it could be turned off that would be a different story. if you could play hardcore
without fast travel or that compass dot, I would turn on that mode to have them disabled.
>> [_] Anonymous 12/02/11(Fri)10:20 No.1582528
however its obvious that the game is designed for using them. not fast traveling would be hell
since the world is so big. and finishing quests would be impossible without the compass dot. i'm
given such detailed descriptions in the quest log, it can say stuff like "Return to Helga.". it's
impossible to know where Helga is without looking at the pointer. of course i could take notes on
a piece of paper off-screen, like "helga is in town X besides the stables, i was given the quest
to retrieve her purse from somewhere within the town of Y". but why bother with that since the
little white dot is there to use, taking notes offscreen isn't that funto do when not needed
(then it seems like a waste of time, especially when my friends would level away from me and i
cant discuss the game with them since the way i would want to play takes 20 times longer than how
its meant to be played).
>> [_] Anonymous 12/02/11(Fri)10:20 No.1582529
dont get me wrong, Skyrim is a great game. but its far from perfect. the easy quests is why i
stopped playing (the teleportation makes me feel like im not really playing, just doing tasks).
course having no worth skills to put points in also takes part in me getting tired of the game.
the best part of skyrim in my opinion is the landscape, the world is just beautiful. it's a shame
that i wont see that nice place i found again since i'll be teleporing the next time i need to go
where i'm heading.
>> [_] Anonymous 12/02/11(Fri)10:21 No.1582530
saying stuff like "you dont have to use feature X" is not valid since although true it's often
too tempting to pass on using it. it's in the game, its part of the game. playing a game is a
waste of my real life, when there's an easy way to skip tiresome stuff like travelling great
distances I'll use it. handy function. im human. but it takes away from the game experience.
perhaps you won't understand what i mean and call my reasoning weird, but that's fine. you dont
have to understand exactly what i mean

Yes, I'm not a magic user type, only schools I use are Restoration with a bit of Conjuration.
I'm more of a hunter/tank hybrid, sniping from afar (filling soulgems with a soultrap enchanted
bow) then beating the leftovers with Block + 1-Handed.

You're one of 3 things:
1) Self-contradictory
2) Retarded
3) Only like linear gameplay with no immersion and masturbate to instanced-world wana-be RPGs
like Final Fantasy

Sorry for my two (three) replies. Oh well, bumping it anyway.
Pretty awesome video. However, I don't think his voice is fitting to do the rap. We needed
someone with a lower 'Nordic' voice to do it. Sounds like a Altmer did the voice for a Nordic
themed rap.

/v/ loves the shit out of this game. Probably has two or three general threads about it right

There's a console on the PC version where you can give yourself anything you want or kill anyone
you want with a few keyboard taps. Does that make the PC version even shittier just because you
can win the game with a few strokes? Does it somehow invalidate the thousands of mods it's gonna
get?
Also, you sound like you've never played a TES game.
>> [_] Anonymous 12/02/11(Fri)15:02 No.1582620
You guys are bumming me out. I tell you what I find wrong with Skyrim and you feel that you have
to correct me and that I must be retarded because Skyrim is so *perfect* in every way.
10 voice actors was obviously a understatement, but it sure feels like 10. Those 61 other voice
actors/actress must be for special one-in-a-million NPCs or trolls or wolfs. Because everybody in
the game everywhere sounds the same.
I already explained why stuff like "you dont have to use feature X" is null and void, if it's in
the game and makes the game easier you will use it. Unless you can disable it in some kind of
hardcore mode. If it's forced to be enabled, ergo in your face all the time, of course you'll use
it.
>> [_] Anonymous 12/02/11(Fri)15:03 No.1582621
So I should increase the difficulty to master every time I see a dragon in order to make the
dragons seem like an actual dragon that deserves respect? And then lower it once I manage to kill
it? Because since the dragons are still the easiest enemy in the game it must make surviving
against a giant for example impossible on master difficulty.

>Skyrim is the 'casual' of RPGs, nigger.
This guy is right. Skyrim IS the most casual RPG of the casual RPGs out there today. You're (>>1
582551) saying that you wouldn't want't to take time to for example discover a hidden village to
finish a quest? How can you call other people "causals" when you obviously are one yourself, in
Skyrim a quest goes like this: Talk to someone, teleport, follow "blip", do whatever
(kill/talk/pickup), teleport, follow "blip", turn in quest. I don't see how things can be more
"casual" than that.
>> [_] Anonymous 12/02/11(Fri)15:04 No.1582622
Note I'm not saying that playing "casual" games are bad. I myself have played Skyrim, remember?
Playing casually means that you often have better things to do than play video games. I just
think you're (>>1582551) silly.
>> [_] Anonymous 12/02/11(Fri)15:07 No.1582623
I just miss the days of real RPGs. You know; where you have to ask around to find someone or
discover how to get to a certain somewhere. Stuff that makes you think, stuff that makes you feel
like you're actually doing something worthwhile. To get the "I'm making progress" feeling. Skyrim
has this huge, amazingly designed landscape but it's wasted.
I have heard that the creators are making all their own design tools available for the fan
modding community however. So there's hope of amazing mods that will create a great RPG with
Skyrim's great landscape.

they said that alot fo people were pissed about oblivion everyone sounds alike because they only
had 12 voice actors.
in skyrim they have about 70 voice actors including some stars.
you only think everyone sounds the same because the majority of people are nords and they all
sound like arnold.
