im surprised noone has commented on this yet. well, i think it is a cool concept, but idk how
realistic it is. also, he didnt mention anything about other animals such as cows and hogs. this
would seem to be a kind of a last resort idea. like if the earth flooded, these would be the only
places to live on earth till the water levels went down

This is a neat idea, but I think we should focus on sustaining the land we have now rather than
creating new land. I really like the idea of using the buoyancy force for tower construction ,
though. It gets rid of a lot of headaches that would be involved in creating such a large
structure.

yes and then the water lilies can nuke each other to shit once they bump into each other.
Also, mine the doldrums for waste plastic.

2025 huh...?
seems like it'll be really easy to sink a whole city for terrorists

Gentlemen, please calm yourselves. I think the real question on everyone's mind is:
>When can I bring my shit over?

No thanks. It would be like living on a ship but you actually had a serious investment there. I
spent most of my life on the coast and I can tell you right now that constant wind and rain are
not fun at all.

keep in mind this is made by the Japanese. Japan doesn't have much livable land area(go to google
maps then zoom into the white area around tokyo). They also don't eat cows or hogs very much.
In fact much of the world doesn't eat hamburgers everyday you stupid American.
>>1569852
yeah, but this is built in the doldrums, where you don't really have much wind. But then again,
you do have muggy weather pretty much of the time at ground level.

Not everyone eats hamburgers, but what's on the menu today? Veggies, pasta, or fish. maybe a
little innovation with the former two, but until we can grow meat in petri dishes, I would
probably die on here.
>>1569811
erm... the idea isn't to ship everyone off until no one lives on land anymore. if we push a lot
of the farming needs onto these islands, then you can sustain the land we have now all you like.

I wouldn't imagine the different floating countries to be like US and Iran. think of them like
the countries within the EU. some heavy shit would have to go down before New Britain starts
bombing New Spain.

this won't happen for an extremely long time, if at all.
not because humanity doesn't have the ability. it could be done within a decade given motivation.
but it's always going to be cheaper to just arm a military force, buy a government and take land
from others.
these green faggots really need to take a psychology or economics class.

It's like watching the prolog of my standard science fiction anime.
