  tinychat doesn't work as a swf file by itself.
  can't find any flash chat tutorials and would prefer irc.

  If you want to actually want to make your own the function you want to look into is xmlsock. If
  you just want to edit some text/images and pretend you did your own I don't have any source for
  you though.

  found this but dont know what to edit for it to work.
  not an expert and pretty much a novice at flash.
  theres also talked about "wfic" .fla flash irc client.
  doesn't seem to exist on the internet anymore.

  I'm fairly certain this is a cross-domain restriction. If you have control over the domain the
  IRC server is running on, you can add a crossdomain.xml file to allow access. If you don't have
  control, you're SOL if you're loading the SWF from the internet. Locally loaded SWF may not have
  this restriction (or it might not be able to access anything, I dunno).

  anyway found those 4 open source codes so far.
  right now downloading open source flashdevelop.
  cause flash builder costs money.
  going to see if i can get that to work with flex sdk.
