Personally, I use DownloadHelper to mirror /f/ and SWF decompiler 7 to view. Also, what's your personal collection size? Pictured is mine, just after a deduplicate run. Marked for deletion (old). >> [_] Anonymous 08/06/12(Mon)22:00 No.1737823 12 gigs? Do you save every flash you come across? It's just one page, so I browse without add-ons or scripts. I open the swfs with Adobe's standalone player. It's very portable and I don't have much need to view the inner workings of code. My collection: ~1 GB. That doesn't sound like a lot, but I've collected since the very beginning. I've done a lot of trimming to keep it limited to a flash drive. Only the essentials, just the stuff that I genuinely enjoy on a regular basis. A lot of my storage space goes to way more important things. >> [_] f4r !HanakoDlmg 08/06/12(Mon)22:13 No.1737834 >>1737823 >Do you save every flash you come across? Pretty much, yeah. Once I've downloaded it, I see no point in deleting it, as I've got a bit of free space, and I like filling /r/'s. >> [_] f4r !HanakoDlmg 08/06/12(Mon)22:15 No.1737837 >>1737834 Forgot to mention, I also plan on starting a swfchan mirror once I get more bandwidth, it helps to have a nice collection to start with. >> [_] Anonymous 08/06/12(Mon)22:25 No.1737844 >>1737837 It would be nice to have something besides swfchan (which is a redundant mess). Out of curiosity, how do you organize your flashes. So far, I only have 2 subdirectories reserved for games and porn. Also, have you ever happened to come across a flash game of a girl running down an endless hallway? It has sort of a dungeon crawl setting: avoid the monsters, collect the loot. >> [_] Anonymous 08/06/12(Mon)23:53 No.1737911 i have about 2.3 gigs organized into: Animations, Games, Music, Info, Ruby Quest... because it's awesome enough to warrant it's own folder. if you don't know what that is, it's ok. >> [_] f4r !HanakoDlmg 08/06/12(Mon)23:56 No.1737914 >>1737844 I don't really organize them, DH just generates a new folder each time, and I'm fairly good at remembering filenames. As for the /r/, nope sorry. >> [_] Cain !!GBvgNM4tK9g 08/07/12(Tue)00:00 No.1737919 personal collection is 4.17 gigs with 1300 files with 98% downloaded from flash and the other 2% from swfchan. On 4chan I view them in window, but on my computer I use a standalone flash 11 player. >> [_] Cain !!GBvgNM4tK9g 08/07/12(Tue)00:07 No.1737924 subfolders are l / touhou / lolz / games / hoods / other sub subfolders are too many to list but I will tell you for the most part its very well organized, got about 200 flashes from june til now that are unorganized. >> [_] Anonymous 08/07/12(Tue)00:11 No.1737925 personal collection is only 1.6 gigs, 477 files, no organization, i just remember a lot of the filenames. i just browse /f/ normally, i use SWF/FLV Player to view and OP, how many flashes do you have? >> [_] f4r !HanakoDlmg 08/07/12(Tue)00:23 No.1737935 >>1737925 4,085 >> [_] Anonymous 08/07/12(Tue)00:24 No.1737936 >>1737935 holy shit >> [_] Anonymous 08/07/12(Tue)00:28 No.1737937 Only 2GB since 2007? man I'm doing badly >> [_] Anonymous 08/07/12(Tue)00:32 No.1737949 having a folder for solely hood flashes makes me miss the element of surprise... >> [_] Anonymous 08/07/12(Tue)00:35 No.1737953 I browse /f/ through swfchan, if the screenshot looks interesting I watch the flash. If your government in your country forces your countries DNS services to block a certain domain name you can just use the OpenDNS to bypass the block (since OpenDNS is in another country that don't implement the block). A DNS server is used to look up the IP address that a domain name points to. They convert |
