would it not help to give audio samples of the actual genres listed on the left as well? Telling
us how the genre came about is fine and all but how about giving us samples so we can go tell
  them apart? 7/10

just went through the flash from the link. First of all.. holy fucking buggyness. Almost half the
buttons switch you to a whole new tree.

Also it dosn't appear dubstep is on this? Is dubstep simply a small break off of one of these
  types?

this flash is 7 years old man. And the OP didn't realize it wouldn't work if you took just this

Dub + 2-Step Garage = Dubstep. End of discussion.

This was before Dubstep was even around, calm your panties. He's missing a lot of genres besides
  fagstep.

This is good for total beginners imo and I've used it myself a while's back. There is some
inaccuracies (Power noise is not at all the same as power electronics, noisecore is not congruent
  to breakcore, some other shit)

  >>1744849
what year is that guide from?
  >Power noise is not at all the same as power electronics
  but what's the difference?

>> [_] Anonymous 08/16/12(Thu)07:22 No.1744874

  >>1744856
I dunno, way back when bro

  Basically to put it simply:
  >Power Electronics = Industrial Noise, not yet Harsh Noise though. Angsty fucking music,
  especially the shit from Whitehouse.

Ex: Whitehouse - Why You Never Became A Dancer
  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjAF7D4l91M

  >Power Noise/Rhythmic Noise = Dance music with that Heavy duty Industrial sound.

  Ex: Terrorfakt - Achtung!
  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPAJ0bc0Cyo

>> [_] Anonymous 08/16/12(Thu)09:33 No.1744899

Oh look, an insanely biased flash where he gives you good information on the genres he likes and
  any other genre he trashes.

  Adding to this:
  He's also just a retrofags
"Old is good new is bad even if they're the same thing."
Retrofaggots are the worst thing on this planet besides hypocrites.

No it doesn't, because the same thing happened when the styles of disco and rock were coming out.
The adults hated it and the kids loved it.
