Not an amv this time, but only rather because it seems like there is no good AMV made from
Horizon. If there is an anime of the year, it will probably be fate zero, but if there is a
runner up it most definitely is Horizon on the middle of nowhere. Great writing, character
design, music, action scenes. Here is one of the best scenes from season 1.

Yeah sure.
It's just a pity that fuck all happened during the show, and it loved to devolve into dropping
massive amounts of exposition whenever something intense was happening. Such as say, this scene
you post.
"My dance was created to stop thugs that would want to touch me, this isn't supposed to be a
fight, let's talk meta about how you said "What spell was that?"". A fairly poor example
considering it was usually much worse, one of the core traits ruining decent shows in anime.
Also the AMV's you post are pretty shit as well. Like this video, conversion to swf through flv
really doesn't hold up in terms of quality. So why you'd want someone to appreciate the quality
of something through this form is rather baffling.

Considering the number of sauce request, it is clear that some people can miss an entire series.
I don't consider alot of the swf files I post to be worth keeping, but instead I use 4chan as a
method of linking TO said content, and the swf is mearly a multimedia introduction clip.

No, but we have a scenario here where someone is trying to get people interested in something,
rather than have that interest form naturally from a random flash.
Instead of someone asking for the sauce, it's in the OP because he expects interest. He must have
an audience then.
That kind of shit seems a bit detrimental, if people here had an interest in these shows they
would go to another board.
I'm not saying don't post random anime flashes. I'm saying don't post anime flashes because you
feel that it's some under appreciated gem and want more people to pay attention to it.

I did admit, my main reason for posing this was because I couldn't find a good AMV for the
series. Wouldn't be the first either, I don't think there has been a single GITS music video I
liked.
Also one of the reasons i really liked this scene is because the vocals made it play out like a
music video.

Not to mention the line that this video opens with, "By your attire, I take it that you are a
traditional dancer." I'm not sure what sort of tradition she's thinking of, but I think the
"dancer" clears things up quite nicely when she says "This goes back much farther." Perhaps back
to the oldest profession?

The show takes place quite a ways in the future, humans had ascended but lost their way and when
they came back to earth, it was in shambles by those left behind. the series DOES come off weird
when you first watch it, but rest assured the source is from a lengthy light novel series, and
while the show doesn't use any lengthy flashbacks or descriptive interludes you do pickup things
here and there.
I think the anidb ratings sum it up well;
Season 1, out of 16 users it was rated 4 for fans, 11 recommended, 1 must see.
Season 2 out of 12 users, 1 for fans, 6 recommended, 5 must see.
So when the series first came out they were wtf, but after the second one (both combine to 26
episodes, not a huge span here) watchers had a better grasp on the series.
A 3rd season is otw.

I love this whole discussion here, with people pretending the /f/ is filled with so much quality
