Make sure you have over 500 gold at all times and when the gold voucher comes, buy it
Then it's a breeze until the dragon

Got really lucky and got my first dragon on like day 20 and I had a divine edge ready. Second
dragon got me however when no divine edges would come up.

Save 500g for voucher, pray it comes in the first 10 days.
Try to upgrade your weapon whenever you can, unless it'd take you below 500g and you aren't
assured get back above 500g in the next couple areas.
Upgrade your armor sparingly, and use it like a heal. Sometimes it's better to just buy an Elixir.
Once you use a Voucher, upgrade everything as it comes, and keep a Sword of the Divine in your
inventory at all times in case a dragon comes. If you get below 20% HP and have your armor maxed
out, buy an Elixir and pray a sword comes before a dragon.
