You idiots fill this board with unimaginative games built off of framework software, the same three videos over and over, and then have the balls to try and "improve" something that didn't even fucking need it. The "8bitreadingrainbow" flash on the front page now? That needed it. The original music was just Standard MIDI, and now it's true 4-channel NES waveform/triangle/PCM. This, though? Run for the fucking hills, faggot, your fanbase's days are numbered. The mainstream's catching on, they're seeing you as pedophilic and mentally unstable people, and that only means that the end of the party is coming swiftly. The writing doesn't really seem to appeal to anyone except kids, the stories aren't really interesting, they don't have any depth, etc etc Truth is, the bronies don't really like MLP. Some do, sure, but those are rare as fuck. What they really like is the fan works on it - which is mostly porn. This, combined with the fact that the "ponies" are actually all but void of actual equine features, looking actually more like cats, proves that bronies are in fact furries, but a little less human and a little more animal. >> [_] Anonymous 01/22/13(Tue)21:08 No.1864815 >>1864803 I do laugh at it. It is primarily targeting six year old girls, but when asked the crew always mentioned they kept the parents in mind too. Which I think leads to a writing and story style that grows more inclusive so that fans who are six will still appreciate the show when they have children of their own and find humor they missed as children. I think this translates to a broader audience in general. >> [_] Anonymous 01/22/13(Tue)21:09 No.1864818 >>1864815 >>1864803 Speaking of depth, I'll say it's just a cartoon and some things don't really need a point. That's what I mean by genuine, it's just trying to be entertainment, trying, and thus I find it more appealing then some of these other 80s rehashes- such as what was done with heman. Can't speak for the whole 'fandom', but I don't look for much art outisde the show. Sure I've heard some of the remixed music and smirked at some parodies, but the show is simple enough for me. I don't really need more. As for porn. Well. As with any cartoon there are just some lines which don't need to crossed, especially if the show isn't meant to address it. So I can't really say I know too much about that. >> [_] Anonymous 01/22/13(Tue)21:12 No.1864819 >>1864815 Could you show me to an episode with a plot of any interest at all? I honestly never watched an episode of that which storyline went beyond "help your friends". Granted, i didn't watch anything past the first 5 episodes of the first season on youtube. Also, you laugh easily >> [_] Anonymous 01/22/13(Tue)21:15 No.1864824 >>1864803 I know how this is going to end for me but I really don't care at this point... Thank you. I watch the show, and honestly, this right here is the main reason I don't talk to ANYONE about it. I don't want to be associated with the ones who like it just so they can fap to carton horses. I like it cause -art -voice actors/actresses That's it. :sigh: *preps for hatestorm* >> [_] Anonymous 01/22/13(Tue)21:18 No.1864826 >>1864819 >>you laugh easily That's what cartoons are for. Let's see, an episode with a plot of any interest at all... Well, the first and second episode of season one establishes the world, and according to Lauren Faust was suppose to be the whole 'feel' of the show, but Hasbro wanted it to be episodic so... Also, 'Return of Friendship 1-2' which iirc is the beginning of season 2, as well as the end of season two 'Canterlot Wedding', introduces villianious elements and are much more in kein of the adventurous type. Sonic Rainboom is pretty good too, if not predictable. The rest is just entertainment and general fare, though keeping continuity, but I'd recommended 'Super Speedy Cider Squeezer 6000' just because it's good fun. >> [_] Anonymous 01/22/13(Tue)21:20 No.1864828 >>1864818 Yes, that's true, stuff doesn't inherently need to have a point, or any depth at all. But, just like with vidya gaems, no depth or point just essentially turns it into something more fit for kids or absolute casual cartoon watchers, much in the same way Angry Birds is for kids or absolute casual vidyagaemers. I just don't see how you can actively like it. Maybe watch an episode every now and then for shits and giggles, but actually liking it is something i cannot into. >>1864826 So it's for people who laugh easily? >> [_] Anonymous 01/22/13(Tue)21:22 No.1864830 this fad needs to die. >> [_] Anonymous 01/22/13(Tue)21:24 No.1864832 >>1864824 Anything involving a large number of people is bound to have weird elements, because people are weird. Stay away from what you don't like, and look for what you do. For example, I don't mind some of the fan song remixes, try Super Ponybeat — Discord (EuroChaos Mix) [The Original!], Foozogz - ,~*Smile!*~, (Rmx VIP), and maybe, This Day Aria Symphonic Metal Remix on youtube. A little much on the eurobeat... but ok none the less. The Dr. Whooves and assistant parodies are ok, simple because I like Dr. Who too, but that's fandom stuff for you. >> [_] Anonymous 01/22/13(Tue)21:25 No.1864833 >>1864728 HEY ASSHOLE Refer to rule 15 Keep it to your own board, nobody wants to see this. >> [_] Anonymous 01/22/13(Tue)21:26 No.1864834 >>1864832 One good thing about bronies in general - they make damn good music >> [_] Anonymous 01/22/13(Tue)21:30 No.1864838 >>1864828 Well a casual like is still a like, I mean, I'm not hardcore about everything I like and am selective about that kind of thing. But being casual isn't bad either, especially if you're just tired of watching 'drama' or the news. And yeah, I guess cartoons are for those who laugh easily. Or did you mean FIM specifically? Eh, I suppose. It has humor in it, it entertains me. I take my smiles where I can get them... though I admit it never had me nearly puking my guts out like say, The Great Piggy Bank Robbery. >> [_] Anonymous 01/22/13(Tue)21:37 No.1864852 >>1864834 anybody with a smidgen of talent can make damn good music if they try long enough. Most refer to those as 'animations' as if trying to separate themselves via some higher form. I'm just not afraid to say they can do both. Like any story in any medium, it can be purely for entertainment, have a message, and a moral, or not. And, further, it can do all three without shoving it down your throat a giving you a few laughs to boot. I don't know if I'd leap to defend FiM as some kind of generational benchmark of animation, but I will say it makes me laugh and for that, I like it. >> [_] Anonymous 01/22/13(Tue)21:45 No.1864871 >>1864853 Funny, I don't see that in the rules.
