It's as if you didn't even watch the video.
The author appeared to be pointing out that even though the tree seemed to stop being racist it
was only doing so because otherwise it would be ostracized from the group. It doesn't explicitly
say that racism is right or wrong, only that some people are racist and some aren't. Since the
'majority' (in today's society) view racism as being wrong, the minority must mask their opinions
in order to be socially accepted.

It's also interesting to note that your own bias extends without reason to the obese and towards
those with different views on race than yourself. The tree wasn't doing anything to the black
child (excluding calling him a nigger) only refusing to give his apples to the child. The tree
should be able to give its apples to whomever it pleases and for whatever reason, just as the
others can refuse to take its apples for whatever reason.
