  Fucking bullshit. First of all, infrared are for air to air combat, not attacking ground targets.
  Second, even if they did use an infrared, it's hard enough to fool them with barrages of flares
  and high g maneuvers, a single flare wouldn't do it. Third, the Hind should have simply used its
  30mm cannon mounted in the nose. 4th, torpedoes have safety features that prevent them from going
  off inside of at least one minute to minimize the risk of the torpedo circling around and
  destroying the vessel that launched. And even with the safety freatures off, the contact
  detonators should have gone off the instant the torpedo hit the Hind, and event that would have
  killed everyone on board the patrol boat as well as the helicopter crew.

  And...it's Black Lagoon. It's silly and bends the laws of Physics pretty often for comic or
  badass effect.
  Like later on, there's a Yakuza who cuts a bullet in half with his katana, and a Maid who is like
  the terminator.
